Interest groups

In addition to the regular monthly meetings, you can join any number of the following or other interest groups:

Art Appreciation: This groups meets monthly to hear speakers from all realms of art, discuss art and artists, and visit exhibits.

Breakfast Club: Meet for breakfast, conversation and speakers on selected Friday mornings (usually once a month) at 8 a.m.

Book Discussion: Both an afternoon and an evening group meet monthly to discuss a book of their choice.

Book Exchange: For the price of one hardcover book, members get to read a new current hardcover book each month. The last book you receive in the exchange is yours to keep.

Cookie Exchange: This group meets once yearly, just before Christmas. Participants bring several dozen cookies and exchange them for an excellent assortment of tasty treats.

Games Group: Get together with others for Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit or other fun games.

Garden Group: This group meets several times a year to discuss gardening issues, listen to guest speakers or go on garden tours

Gourmet Dinner

Dinner Group: Join a group of six to eight women who meet three or four times a year to dabble in the exotic tastes of other lands. This group’s main ingredients are good conversation and camaraderie!

Hiking Group: Get together with other women for some fresh air and take a hike on one of the many trails in our area.

Knitting and Crocheting Group: This group meets once a month to knit and crochet-beginners and seasoned knitters are all welcome!

Secret Santa Book Exchange: This group meets once a year before Christmas. Those interested submit a list of books priced under $25, any one of which they would like to receive from a member who ‘secretly’ draws their name.

Theatre Interest Group: This group attends theatre productions several times a year. Partners and friends are welcome.

Women’s Retreat: Join a weekend escape once a year for fellowship, relaxation and fun! In 2011 we will be taking a weekend trip to Montreal!
